The Kedarnath Yatra 2025 is set to commence on May 2, 2025

The Kedarnath Yatra 2025 is set to commence on May 2, 2025, and to facilitate a smoother pilgrimage experience, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched helicopter services operating until May 31, 2025. These services will depart from three helipads: Phata, Sirsi, and Guptkashi.

Helicopter Routes and Fares:

Phata to Kedarnath: Round-trip fare is ₹6,063. 

Sirsi to Kedarnath: Round-trip fare is ₹6,061. 

Guptkashi to Kedarnath: Round-trip fare is ₹8,533. 

These fares reflect a 5% increase compared to the previous year and have been determined by the aviation operators in partnership with the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA). 

Booking Process:

1. Yatra Registration: Before booking helicopter tickets, pilgrims must complete mandatory registration for the Kedarnath Yatra on the official Uttarakhand tourism portal: registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in. 

2. Helicopter Ticket Booking:

Visit the IRCTC HeliYatra website: heliyatra.irctc.co.in.

Create an account by providing your mobile number and email ID. Verify these through the OTP sent to your registered contacts.

Log in to the portal and enter your Yatra Registration Number or Group ID.

Select your preferred travel date, helipad (Phata, Sirsi, or Guptkashi), and time slot.

Enter passenger details. Each user can book up to two tickets, with each ticket accommodating a maximum of six passengers. 

Proceed to payment to confirm your booking.

After successful booking, download and print your ticket. Ensure you carry a valid photo ID for verification on the day of travel.

Important Notes:

Bookings for these helicopter services opened on April 8, 2025. Given the high demand, it is advisable to book early to secure your preferred slots. 

Only the IRCTC HeliYatra website is authorized for booking these helicopter tickets. Be cautious of unauthorized agents or fraudulent websites claiming to offer these services. 

Ensure you carry both your Yatra Registration document and helicopter ticket during your journey.
